OK! Here's that contest I promised!

We had so much fun at Brooke + Mark's Mexico wedding in December that we have decided to take on a few more destination weddings this year! We also decided that since we have so many amazing fans that follow us on Facebook, Twitter, and our Blog, that we wanted this destination wedding to be FREE!! Yep, you read that right....free!

To make it at all manageable though, we're going to have to limit the applications to 10 couples. And that's where the contest comes in.

So here's the deal: to enter the contest, all you have to do is email us the following: 1 photo of you and your fiance, the story of how you met, and why you want to win the free destination wedding photography package. (Destination weddings can be anywhere outside of Boulder, Colorado ;) Then, post this on your Facebook page: "I just entered to win a free destination wedding photography package with @Jenni Maroney Photography and I really want to win!" Be sure to tag Jenni Maroney Photography in the Facebook post (type "@Jenni Maroney Photography" in your post). We will be announcing the winner one month from today! Now here's our one semi-selfish add on :). Since we're trying to get 1000 Facebook fans by May 1, 2011, there will be extra brownie points for the people who suggest our site to their Facebook friends; go to Jenni Maroney Photography Facebook page and on the top right side click "suggest to friends", then highlight all of your friends and click "submit". Colorado Engagement Session {Andrea + Ben}

Andrea + Ben met me on Saturday in Niwot for their engagement session. It was quite warm for a December day in Colorado! And, of course, sunny.... because it's always sunny here! (if you can't tell, I love where I live!). Andrea + Ben made my job really easy! They are always looking at each other with that cute little look and making each other laugh. After this session, I wanted to fast forward to June for their upcoming wedding! So excited for these two! Congrats on your engagement, Andrea + Ben!

Dreams Resort | Tulum, Mexico Wedding {Brooke + Mark}

Drum roll please..... This was one of the BEST weddings I have ever photographed, and for that matter, ever been to!

Brooke + Mark did a "first look" before their ceremony and it brought tears to all of our eyes. If you're getting married and haven't heard of a "first look", please take a peek at these photos! They are to die for!!

Brooke + Mark had a gorgeous afternoon beach-side ceremony surrounded by 40 of their family and friends at Dreams Resort in Tulum, Mexico. Brooke's little sister, Casey sang as Brooke was escorted down the aisle by her father. (As if I hadn't already cried enough during the "first look"!!)

After the ceremony everyone enjoyed champagne and cocktails at El Patio, an open air palapa while we captured a few more sunset photos on the beach.

Dinner was served at the Seaside Grill, another amazing open air building right on the edge of the sand! Traditional wedding cake was cut and served and accompanied by a traditional Mexican dessert.

Once dinner and dessert was taken care of, the dancing began. And WOW, can these guys dance!! Mark even busted out a few break dancing moves and his whole family joined in with a Michigan tradition, called the Alligator dance!

My sister assisted me on this wedding and we had the time of our lives! We are so lucky to have met such a great group of people and truly felt like family by the end of the week! We wish Mark + Brooke a lifetime of happiness, health + laughter!! Congrats Mr. + Mrs. Cady!!

Denver Botanic Gardens {Ashley + Adam}

I met Ashley + Adam at the Denver Botanic Gardens on Friday for their engagement session. They led me to a large lawn where they had their first date (a picnic!!). Brown Palace Denver Wedding {Holly + James}

When I first saw the itinerary for this Halloween wedding at The Brown Palace in Denver I thought there was a mistake. There was an hour before and 2 hours(!!) after the ceremony for photos. After checking with Angie from Sapphire Celebrations I not only learned that it was not a typo but we also had a limo to escort us around Denver for sunset photos! Seriously?!? I LOVE THIS COUPLE!! Holly + James had a fabulous wedding yesterday! Every detail was carefully planned out and executed but the amazingly talented Angie Johnston of Sapphire Celebrations. The hair and makeup was perfectly created (there were even finger curls!!) by Leslie Arts! The flowers were arranged in house by The Brown Palace Flower Shoppe, as well as the cake by The Brown Palace! Limo services were provided by Sunset Limousine Worldwide. The guests were even encouraged to change into costume for the reception! ... It doesn't get much cooler than that! SUCH a fun wedding! Congrats Holly + James -- you are ah.ma.zing!

Rocky Mountain Colorado Wedding {Kate + Garrett}

Kate + Garrett had me at hello. Garrett is really into photography and Kate is really into movies. They themed their wedding around the cinema with popcorn bucket centerpieces filled with candy!! (Garrett actually popped the question one night while they were watching a movie, he pulled the ring out from the popcorn bucket they were snacking on.) Della Terra Mountain Chateau {Debbie & Matt's Destination Wedding}

Debbie & Matt have lived all over the world. They decided to get married in Estes Park, Colorado, where Debbie's family has been vacationing for many years. They were only able to come to Colorado a few days before their wedding this past Monday (yes, a Monday wedding ... LOVE it!!). We captured Debbie & Matt's engagement session in Boulder on Thursday and a few short days later captured them saying "I do!!". They had a gorgeous outdoor ceremony followed by a SUPER FUN reception at Della Terra Mountain Chateau in Estes Park. If you haven't seen this place, be sure to check it out! I can't begin to tell you how amazing this place is... the rooms are phenomenal (I could move into just one of their huge bathrooms!), the views are stunning and the staff is exceptional! Everything about this wedding was gorgeous... the flowers were perfectly arranged by Kim and Company, the food was deliciously prepared by Jubilations Catering and Top Hat Entertainment cranked out killer tunes! I really wish Debbie & Matt lived closer... guess I'll just have to visit them in Ohio for now. Congrats you two!!

Today is a good day. Actually, today is a GREAT day!! I am not only excited to post this gorgeous wedding but just had a consultation with the groom's cousin and her fiance and booked their June 2011 wedding, too! ... And our new website went live this morning! Such a great day!

Jessica and Mike are a truly amazing couple. They are so generous and caring ... and totally in love! Saturday was about 102 degrees when i left boulder for their wedding in Larkspur, Colorado. It was supposed to be the hottest day on record. Luckily, the clouds rolled in and cooled it off a bit for everyone! Jessica and Mike said "I do!!" at an outdoor ceremony at the beautiful new venue Crooked Willow Farm. The wedding was perfectly planned by Debbie from Save the Date Events, with flowers by Plum Sage Flowers, live music by Narrow Gauge, cakes by The Bundt Shoppe, and catering by Epicurean! Jessica found her gorgeous dress at the Little White Dress in Castle Rock. I can't say enough about this couple ... I absolutely love the way they love each other! Congrats Jessica and Mike! I hope you're enjoying your honeymoon in Mexico right now!! (jealous!)

I have been looking forward to this wedding for a long, long time! I have been working with Stacy for 2 seasons now, capturing weddings at the gorgeous Cielo at Castle Pines, where she is in charge of all weddings. After Stacy and Kevin did a super fun engagement session at Chautauqua, I knew their wedding would be a blast... and it was! All of the amazing details were perfectly planned out by Angie Johnston of Sapphire Celebrations (who was also the beautiful Matron of Honor). The breathtaking bouquets and table arrangements were done by the Flower House. Dinner and the dessert bar (yumm!!) was catered by the extremely talented (and delicious!) the Food Guy. We have planned a simple wedding at a gorgeous venue in Vermont, where I grew up. We are both so excited to spend the weekend with our families and close friends. We are so lucky to have our good friends Dawn & Lindsey of Two Chicks Photography capturing our big day! We also want to thank all of you who have sent cards and support this week -- it really means the world to us!

Molly & Tom are Engaged!!

Last week we did a tasting at Cielo at Castle Pines catered by the Food Guy. It was delicious! Molly's mom, Erin was there and entered her daughter and her fiance in our Complimentary Engagement Session Giveaway and her and Tom won! They just so happened to be visiting Colorado last weekend from Philly (Molly) and Chicago (Tom) to work on some wedding planning. We squeezed them in for their engagement session on Sunday at Chautauqua Park in South Boulder! The lighting was perfect, the sky was bright blue and these two love birds never stopped smiling! OK... so I've loved Anna & Kyle since the first time I met them when they came up to our studio for their consultation. I loved them even more after getting to know them at their engagement session in Denver a couple months ago. NOW, after shooting their wedding on Saturday at Cielo at Castle Pines, I am not only in love with them but their families and friends too! This wedding was such an amazing time. Angie & Jason's Wedding in Vail!

On Saturday, Angie and Jason said "I Do!" at The Lodge at Vail. It was truly a picture-perfect day. It started snowing just as we arrived, which made for a very romantic moment when Angie surprised Jason before the ceremony for a quick kiss. This was a very intimate wedding with only 16 guests, which helped to make it an absolutely magical day!

Angie is not only the sweetest but the cutest, most laid-back bride! She wore red Uggs with her gorgeous gown and even convinced the other ladies (including both moms) to do the same! Jason kept everyone laughing throughout the day with his hilarious sense of humor. Love, love, love this wedding! Wishing these two the very, very best!

Jenny & Brent said "I do" on Saturday at the Saint Thomas Aquinas Church in Boulder followed by a gorgeous reception at the Rembrandt Yard. It was one of those beautiful, blue-sky days that Colorado is known for... and we took full advantage of it! We took the wedding party by stretch limo to CU campus for some fun photos. Everything about this wedding: from the humorous and meaningful words of Father Peter to the gorgeous cake and delicious food (Front Range Catering Company) was just perfect, especially the amazing and beautiful couple. This was a big weekend for us at Jenni Maroney Photography! We had a very exciting wedding on Saturday night and another one Sunday morning. I was so excited for both, I could barely sleep on Friday night ;)

We had the privilege of spend Sunday with Sarah & Josh and their families at their amazing wedding at Cielo at Castle Pines. We have been looking forward to working with Ros and her staff at this new venue in Castle Rock for awhile now! The catering and event design was gorgeously executed by Sandy and her staff at Occasions by Sandy. Everything was absolutely spot-on, including Sarah & Josh. I just love these guys and can't wait to hang out with them when they return from their honeymoon in mexico! Wishing these two a lifetime of health, happiness and laughter!
